The fact that I was carried in by a stork during WWII tells you about how old I am. My brother and I were like twins - David and I are 13 mos apart, and our sister, Nancy, arrived 4 years later. "Although we are miles apart, we are close in spirit." Whenever I see a movie in which Robert Di Niro is cast, I am both happy and sad, sad with SA in not seeing my brother as often as I would like. I love my sister - she is funny and outgoing, and a gracious hostess. Our parents have passed. Grandpa was the City of Northfield Street Commissioner for a number of years and dad learned the trade practically by osmosis, but his real penchant was creativity. He could make anything from pencil sketchings to motorized equipment. Mom worked behind the scenes. She devoted her life to home and family. She gave subtle hints that children and grown ups need to do their best in school, church, and outside activities. She once talked about adoption. Well, guess what? We children did - David has two adopted children and Nancy and I each have one adopted child. They've since grown up and some have families of their own. In fact, my husband and I are soon-to-be Great Grandparents!
